Austin Hopkirk ACIEEM, is director of Hopkirk & Russ Bat Ecology, an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management,  a bat consultant having completed over 500 full bat surveys since 2001, a former Chairperson of the Northern Ireland Bat Group, former Chairperson and Company Director of Bat Conservation Ireland, a former Bat Conservation Trust NBMP Representative and NIEA Bat licensee since the year 1986 (No. 641). Dr Jon Russ BSc. (Hons) PhD (The microchiroptera of Northern Ireland: community composition, habitat associations and ultrasound, QUB). Previous partner of Hopkirk & Russ Bat Ecology, now Director of Ridgeway Ecology Ltd., Jon is a bat echolocation call consultant advisor.
